Hell's Gate Airtram FAQ

We have created this list of frequently asked questions however if your question is not answered here please feel free to contact us through our contact page.

Where are you located?

We are located 2 – 1/2 hours East of Vancouver and 2 – 1/2 hours West of Kamloops on the #1 Trans Canada Hwy in the scenic Fraser Canyon.

Do I have to pay for parking?

Our parking lot at the highway level has ample FREE PARKING.

Do you have wheelchair access?

Hell’s Gate Airtram is fully wheelchair accessible, including the suspension bridge, with accessible parking stalls next to the main building.

Is it true this place is haunted?

According to some of our guests and staff, yes. Given the area’s history of tragedy and death it could very well be haunted. The early 1800′s and 1900′s provide several tales of peril and dismay for the men and women who came here to challenge mother nature. Their goals varied from exploration, gold seeking or attempting to build a better future for Canada.

Mysterious voices, shadows lurking about, objects falling off shelves and mysterious shapes appearing in photographs are just some of the spooky testimonials. But don’t let all this scare you. We think our ghosts are friendly and hospitable!

Can I book a private party?

We are available for private parties after regular hours. When the lights are on the river in the evening it makes for a magical time. We have hosted everything from wrap up parties to weddings to dry grads. Contact us here and we will set it up for you.

Are you government funded?

We are not government funded. We are privately owned and operated out of Hope, BC.

How long are the line ups?

Trams run frequently with little or no wait, so there are no long line-ups. Your vacation time is precious – we won’t waste it. We employ friendly, informative staff who care about your visit here.

Do you allow pets?

We are a pet friendly attraction as they are part of the family too! You bring the leash, we’ll supply the treats. Your pets can enjoy a nice cold drink from the bucket in our “Pup Pub”.
